Biography •

Serge-Richard Petit-Frère

Serge-Richard Petit-Frère is a management professional specializing in SME management, with a master’s degree in Entrepreneurship and Project Development, as well as certifications in quality infrastructure and corporate policies

Since moving to Canada in 2022, Serge-Richard has become actively engaged in the Canadian entrepreneurial ecosystem and now serves as Director of Entrepreneurship Programs at Futurpreneur Canada. In this role, he designs and develops programs that support young entrepreneurs across the country, with a strong focus on inclusion and serving diverse communities.

His career also led him to serve as Director of Marketing and Quality at the Haitian Development Finance Corporation, where he played a key role in implementing business strategies, quality and compliance policies, while innovating in the design of new products and services to support enterprises.

Originally from Haiti, he worked as a Professor of Entrepreneurship and Marketing, sharing his knowledge with students and strengthening the skills of financial and business executives through specialized training. He is also the author of several publications in the field of entrepreneurship, contributing practical and accessible insights for aspiring business owners.

A dedicated Rotarian, he also contributes to community initiatives that reflect his values of solidarity and service. His passion lies in guiding young entrepreneurs and promoting an inclusive, meaningful form of entrepreneurship that creates opportunities and fosters a sense of belonging.

Serge made his mark as an entrepreneur in Haiti by co-founding and managing Coin Lakay, a propane distribution company he led for seven years. Under his leadership, the company successfully navigated and performed in a volatile and challenging market before its assets were transferred to another Haitian enterprise, ensuring business continuity. In parallel, Serge also co-founded with his wife GRAVIS CONSULTING, a management consulting firm that combined their expertise to support organizations in strengthening their structures and driving growth. These initiatives, developed in the Haitian context, highlight his vision, resilience, and commitment to contributing to the country’s economic development.
